Ann Gover has had exhibitions in London, Bath, Bristol and Italy,
and has exhibited work in the USA, Canada, Mexico and Japan.
She is a member of Spike Island Printmakers, and exhibits with
the Bath Society of Arts and the Tobacco Factory, Bristol.
People, landscape and still life themes arising from my reading and travelling feature in my work.
I aim to engender a feeling of mystery and contemplation, but sometimes the themes develop along
more surreal and disturbing lines. I work in different media, finding the challenge of transposing images
in one medium, say pastel or etching, into another, such as enamel, a fascinating process.
The image is affected by the varying qualities of the medium used, while the original concept is retained.
